Midlothian Energy - Power Plant Reconstruction
This interactive VR walkthrough experience explores the Midlothian Texas Power Plant. Initially tasked with retopologizing a sizable FARO-generated point cloud, our team determined that the scan data’s density and noise made optimization of the original mesh impractical. Instead, we fully reconstructed the plant from the ground up using the scans and on-site imagery as reference. The result was a meticulously detailed yet highly performant model, leveraging a single texture atlas for the entire exterior to achieve exceptional performance and visual fidelity within the VR environment.

Midlothian Energy - Control Room Reconstruction
As part of our ongoing collaboration with Midlothian Energy, a detailed digital twin of one of the facility’s control rooms was also created. The project involved retopologizing and refining high-resolution scan data to create an optimized, real-time 3D environment compatible with VR. The space includes interactive elements and functional monitor displays designed to reflect live operational data, enhancing realism and training potential. This interior environment seamlessly integrates with the larger exterior power plant model, forming a unified, immersive simulation for visualization and instructional use.

GnomeCap Games - Galactic Traffic Control
We collaborated with GnomeCap Games to produce a suite of stylized 3D assets for Galactic Traffic Control, a Meta Quest title set in a vibrant 1950s-inspired sci-fi universe. Working closely with the development team, we helped establish the game’s distinct retro-futurist aesthetic. We designed spacecraft and structures that balanced visual charm with optimized performance for VR. Each model was uniquely crafted with custom textures and material work to capture the playful tone of the world, bringing the imaginative setting to life.

University of Florida - Microchip Lab Digital Twin
This extensive collaboration with UF involved accurately reconstructing their SCAN lab’s intricate environment and machinery in 3D, optimizing each asset for real-time performance in both VR and desktop applications. The result was a fully navigable, immersive simulation allowing users to explore the lab, engage with complex equipment, and visualize processes in a safe, accessible virtual environment. The goal of this program is to promote both research communication and educational outreach.
