GnomeCap Games - Galactic Traffic Control

We designed five distinct ship types, each with a unique silhouette and visual identity reflecting its movement style. For instance, the slow, lumbering orange transport ship drew inspiration from classic sci-fi cargo vessels and vintage RV designs.

Because the in-game scene could feature hundreds of ships moving simultaneously, a single shared base color texture was used across all five models to maximize performance. The result is a highly efficient asset set featuring custom textures that capture the worn, cel-shaded aesthetic of 1950s comic art.

A computer control panel with various monitors, buttons, and switches, plus a racing helmet with a visor on a stand, all set against a black background.

In addition to the five ships, we designed the space station as well as a fully interactable station command desk which serves as the game’s main menu UI interface.

Our services extend beyond industrial and educational applications as demonstrated by our collaboration with Gnomecap Games, a developer specializing in XR entertainment.

We were tasked with overhauling the game’s art direction to develop a 50’s comic-inspired retro-futurism.

The animation shown here was created by FLOW Animation Studios and features many of the assets we developed.
